The Cerne Abbas Suite
For regular visitors to Cornflowers this is a new room and is by far the largest and offers the most extra facilities. It is situated on the second floor and therefore has a further 10 stairs to climb to reach it , but is worth
the extra steps. All our other rooms are on the first floor.
From the first floor the steps pictured below lead up to the Cerne Abbas Suite and have a hand rail as seen to assists guests. There is also a picture below looking down from the top of the stairs just outside the Cernes Abbas Suite.

Once you reach the top of the stairs you can catch your breath and take a look at some iconic British pictures on the wall , breaking the black & white decor with typically British glimpses of the odd red bus or a red telephone box.
As you open the door to the Cerne Suite the black & white theme continues in this room to enhance the beautiful black beams that litter the high sloping ceiling.

As seen above this room features a 6ft 1000 Pocket Sprung Mattress that is medium to firm and is ideal if you have had a row as it allows ample room to miles from eachother whilst in the same bed! The room is full of character with its original beams from when the building was built in 1650 yet we have tastefully ( we hope ) brought this room up to date with some modern additions and made full use of the high ceiling by creating the simple but timeless feature wall with a black, white & silver striped paper.
Also seen above are two gorgeous and stylish black & white material covered chairs with a versatile tray topped table for a game of cards or dominoes or just lift the tray top off the table and use it to play cards in bed! As well as the upright chairs there is a two seater futon in beech wood with black comfy thick cushioned mattress. The futon would be great for families as it opens out into a comfortable double bed if required.

As the picture above will illustrate this room offers storage space galore with fitted wardrobes across one entire wall as well as fitted drawers galore across the wall beneath the two dorma sash windows. The windows are traditional sash windows with nets covering them as well as a drop down set of blinds in each window to ensure a dark room to sleep in.
A 42 inch flatscreen TV with built in DVD player sits quietly in the corner of the room along with Tea and Coffee making facilities , 1Litre capacity Kettle and of course complimetary biscuits as well as bottled water daily , also complimetary.
Antique Brass lamps & a sumptuous designer rug are two final items worthy of a mention as well as the gorgeous 100% cotton beddaing. Along with some other tasteful ornaments this room has definately got the wow factor if you wanted to spoil a loved one!

Finally the En-suite does not disappoint either with both a bath as well as seperate shower cubicle its tasteful Italian look design using Gold and Black match well with the room. Again there is storage space galore as well as a bathroom cabinet with mirror and shaving socket & light if required. Complimentary toileteries are supplied as standard but in this suite we also provide use of 2 bath robes whilst you are staying and guest slippers.

A fabulous room in the eaves of a 17th century cottage yet with a deceptively high ceiling and making best use of the masses of space, we are very confident that guests who book this suite will not be dissappointed! Prices start from £125 per night based on Double occupancy in March or October, rising to £165 per night during the Olympics this year!
